How this list is different
Resorts are ordered by fit transparency: hotels whose official pages publish clear per-room occupancy and bed setups (Moon Palace, Nickelodeon) rank above hotels whose pages leave guest counts unpublished (Dreams, Grand Velas) — even when the latter are excellent resorts. A lower rank here means “the hotel makes it hard to verify,” not “the hotel is bad.” Where a resort's own numbers surprised us — like a 5-guest suite with a single king bed — we say so on its page.
