Luxury hotels for families

Luxury and “sleeps 5” rarely coexist: at the top end, suites get bigger but bed setups often shrink to a single king. We checked the official sites. One of the two true-luxury resorts below publishes complete room data (Hyatt Ziva Cancun); the other (Grand Velas) doesn't publish per-suite occupancy at all — we'd rather show you that gap than fill it with third-party guesses.

⚠️ Luxury ≠ fits five

At Hyatt Ziva Cancun, the 1,524 sq ft Club Oceanfront Master Suite is capped at 4 guests with a single king bed, while the 2,115 sq ft Club Two Bedroom Oceanfront Suite fits 6 with three real beds. Bigger and pricier is not the same as fits-your-family — always check the room, not the resort.

Premium alternative

Moon Palace Cancun sits just below the luxury tier, but it publishes the clearest family occupancy data in Cancun — most room types officially sleep 5, and its Family Deluxe sleeps 7 across two connecting rooms sold as one suite.
