Three areas, one name. “Puerto Vallarta” listings stretch 45+ minutes up the coast into Riviera Nayarit. The resort's actual area — not the marketing name — decides your transfer and your off-resort options.
Standard rooms here run small. Several Vallarta resorts cap standard rooms at 3 guests. If a listing promises five in a standard room, check the official page — the five-person fit usually lives in a named family suite.
“Kids stay free” is a price promo, not a bed. Velas and Hyatt properties on this coast run kids-stay-free promotions with age caps. A free child still needs a sleeping spot — occupancy and bed data decide fit.
Not every bay beach is swimmable. Banderas Bay conditions vary by stretch of coast. If daily ocean swimming matters, confirm the resort's own beach description on its official page before booking.
