Las Vegas family-of-5 hotels

Las Vegas is not an obvious family destination, but a handful of resorts genuinely work for five: huge suite inventory, serious pool complexes, and a few all-suite properties off the Strip. The flip side is that standard Vegas rooms are built for two adults and a big night out — many cap at 4 with no fifth bed published anywhere. We list only family-suitable properties, with verdicts for 2 adults + kids 5, 8, 11, from official per-room data.

Las Vegas-specific gotchas

  • Resort fees change the real price of "fits 5". Nearly every Strip property adds a nightly resort fee on top of the rate, and suites big enough for five sit in the highest fee bands. We record each property's published fee on its page; compare totals, not headline rates.
  • Max occupancy in Vegas often assumes two per bed, exactly. A "sleeps 4" two-queen room has no legal fifth spot — no daybed, no published rollaway policy in many casino hotels. If the official page names no fifth bed, we do not invent one.
  • Pool complexes are seasonal. The beach and wave pools that make Vegas work for kids typically run roughly March to October. A winter trip should check the hotel's own page for which pools are actually open.
  • All-suite off-Strip properties play by different rules. Condo-style resorts publish occupancy like vacation rentals — often clearer than casino hotels — but may add cleaning or parking fees instead of resort fees. The fee that applies is on each hotel's page, sourced from its official site.
